Health/ Wellness/ Other Expenses:

From Jamie: While genetics and environment play a role, I firmly believe that unprocessed trauma can lead to disease. Healing must occur emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually—not just physically. I've embarked on a transformative journey to mend my mind, soul, heart, and body holistically. We shouldn't carry the weight of trauma-induced shame. Healing is possible through various means. As a filmmaker, teacher, and explorer (facing my second cancer diagnosis), I've delved into restorative options for cancer-free living and healing old wounds. Some methods are explored and shared through the film.

Incorporating chemotherapy, Western and Eastern Medicine, and some science/pseudoscience-backed alternatives, I've forged my own healing path. I'm documenting this journey to share, but it's financially challenging. These next two years are the most crucial in ensuring I don’t have another recurrence.

Supporting "The Examined Life" aids its completion and my well-being during production, enabling healing through cinematic art—a beautiful cycle to join. Plus, as part of a non-profit fiscal sponsorship, your donation is tax-deductible.
