The Story:
Who?
A woman veteran (filmmaker, Jamie Hoyt) with PTSD and Stage 3 cancer, forms real-life connections with other individuals who tell their own stories of hurt and healing.
Story from Mike Lindner, and his wife, Marie. Both Polish World War 2 and Prisoner of War survivors. Interview is taken from his book “Leaving Terror Behind.”

What?
A documentary examining our role in life in the healing process from the effects of PTSD and trauma.
Where?
While various relevant personal footage is to be used, filming locations for interviews have and will include Alaska, California, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington (more locations possibly added as production increases)
When?
While the film explores the narrative life of the primary film subject and supporting characters, the focus of filming is the present time with a projected date of completion by Spring 2025.
Why?
By sharing the real struggles and effects of PTSD and various forms of trauma; we can find, form, and strengthen connections, and personal and emotional growth through love while promoting inspiration for those unable to tell their own story.
How?
With a 501C3 fiscal sponsorship through “Fractured Atlas”, donors, sponsors and crowdfunding; we can present “The Examined Life” documentary through real-life interviews and footage, which will offer a visceral look into its relatable subjects through the telling of a visual story, at film festivals and various events.

What is the purpose of “The Examined Life”?
